TermDefinition
Personality The combination of traits that make you the person you are.
Traits Characteristics or qualities that make you a unique individual.
Heredity This is the passing of traits from one generation to another.
Inherited traits The traits you receive from your parents and ancestors.
Environment The people, places, and things around you.
Acquired traits You learn or gain these from your environment.
Birth order This indicates whether you are the first, middle, or youngest child in your family and effects your personality.
Self-concept The mental picture you have of yourself.
Self-esteem How you view yourself as a worthy person.
Self-confidence Feelings of your ability to be successful.
Optimists People who look on the positive side of situations.
Pesimists People who look on the negative side of situations.
Attitudes Your feelings about a situation or a person.
