What was the cause of the War of 1812? Great Britain placed restrictions on the US Trade. The Americans didn't like that. They wanted freedom of seas.
What was the effect of the War of 1812? The Us stood out as an independent and strong country.
Who won the War of 1812? No one won. The treaty of Ghent stated everything went back to the way things were prior to the War.
Who wrote the star spangled banner? Francis Scott key!
What even inspired Francis to write the star spangled banner? He was on a ship during the battle at fort McHenry and after the US victory he saw the united states flag flying freely the next morning!
Describe Manifest destiny. It was the belief that the expatiation of the US throughout the American Continent was something had to do with God .
The first amendment states that we have the right to petition the government. What does that mean? To take a complaint or look for help without being punished.
What did the Louisiana Purchase do for the United States? It doubled the size of the country.
What are the three branches of government? Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.
What is the job of the executive branch? To carry out laws.
What is the job of the legislative branch? Makes laws.
What is the job of the Judicial branch? Evaluates laws.
