Where are chromosomes located at? Nucleus

What is Genetics? The study of how living things inherit their traits
What are traits determined by? genes
What is a recessive gene? represented by a lower case letter, not shown if a dominant gene is present
Who was Mendel? He studied pea plants and reported the results of genetic crosses
What is homozygous? Both are the same (BB)
What is heterozygous? Both are different (Bb)
What are observed results? Something that can be seen
What is a punnet square? Shows possible gene combinations
What is dominant? represented by an upper case letter, stomps out the recessive gene and shows it's trait
What are body cells? All cells except egg and sperm (46 Chromosomes)
What are sex cells? Sperm and egg cells
What is pure dominant? BB
What is pure recessive? bb
Where are genes found? On chromosomes
