Replication | To copy |
Gametes | An egg or sperm cell; A sex cell |
Gametogenesis | The development of gametes |
Chromosome | A structure in all living cell that consist of a single molecule of DNA bonded to various proteins and that carries the games determining heredity |

Ovun/ Ova | Female reproductive cell or gamete of plants |
Haploid | Single/ simple |
Centromere | A specialized structure on the chromosome, appearing during cell division as the constricted central region where the two chromatids are held together and from an X shape |
Synapsis | The pairing of homologous chromosomes, one from each parent, during early meiosis |
