Ultrastructure The fine detail as seen under an electron microscope
Cell Membrane Made of phospholipids and protein- controls what enters and leaves the cell, gives support and retains cell contents
Nucleus Made of DNA and protein- controls the cell
Chromatin Non-dividing strands of DNA
Nucleolus Where ribosomes are made
Mitochondria Supplies energy, contains DNA
Ribosomes Made of RNA and protein- make protein
Prokaryotic cells Dont have a nucleus or membrane enclosed organells eg. bacteria
Eukaryotic cells Have a nucleus and membrane enclosed organells
