phylum Acrasliomycota Cellular slime molds that live most of life as free-living, independent cells. when their food supply is gone, they gather into a colony then into one body to feed. Then they start the cycle all over again.
phylum Myxomycota acellular slime molds, begins life as one cell, produces "fruiting bodies"(or sporangia) that contain thousands of nuclei enclosed in a cell membrane called a plamodium
