Ecological succession | the gradual and orderly process of change in an ecosystem brought about by the progressive replacement of one community by another until a stable climax is established |

Diversity | the quality or state of having many different forms, types, ideas, etc. |
Succeed | unidirectional change in the composition of an ecosystem as the available competing organisms and especially the plants respond to and modify the environment |
