Using the Microscope

*Robert Farrell's Microscope - 10 steps

1 Obtain a compound light microscope
2 Clean lenses and plug in
3 Low power objective clicked into position
4 Place the slide on the stage
5 use the coarse adjustment knob to move the objective and slide as close as possible
6 Looking through the occular, use the coarse adjustment knob to focus objective
7 Using the fine ajustment knob, obtain a sharp focus
8 Regulate the light intensity by adjusting the iris diaphragm
9 To increase the magnification, change objectives
10 Removing the slide, return the microscope to low power, Objective and stage are as close as possible, put up scope.
