Why do you need 2 cutting boards? You need one for fresh produce and one for raw meats, poultry and seafood.
Where do you separate raw meat, poultry and seafood from other foods? in your grocery cart, shopping bags, and in the refrigerator
How do you keep raw meat juices from dripping onto other foods? keep the meat in a sealed plastic bag on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator
Why do you wash hands, counter tops, utensils, and cutting boards with hot soapy water? to prevent cross contamination
What is the marinating mandate? Sauce that is used to marinate raw meat, poultry, or seafood should not be used on cooked food unless it is boiled first.
What should be done to a cooler after being used at a picnic? It should be throughly cleaned.
What should you do with reusable grocery bags? wash them regularly
What should you do with the plate and utensils you used with your raw chicken? wash the plate and utensils before you use them with your cooked chicken
What should be done with cutting boards that get excessively worn with deep grooves? throw them out and replace them
