Oogenesis making eggs, start out with 1 oocyte and 2-3 polar bodies but we kill other except 2 that split and come together. Most die.
Endocrinology of the OVarian cycel LH singals Theca interna to synthesize adnrogens and testoreone. Go to the granulosa and converts androgens to estrogens. Estogens stimulate oviduct development and secondary sex characteristics.
Mentstual Cycle has three major phases follicular or proliferative, luteal or secretor and menstual.
4 hormones need to know FSH, LH, E, and P(progesterone)
Birth control pill Pill composed of high progesterone and estrogen. Mimics pregnacy by blocking FSH release so follicle doesn't gorwn, and it blocks the LH surge to not allow ovulation
