| Neurotransmitter | Chemicals stored in the Neurotransmitter swellings. |
| Effectors | Muscles and Glands. |
| Synapse | When two neurons come into close contact. |
| Transmission | When the impulse moves from receptors to the central nervous system. |
| Interneurons | Connect sensory and motor neurons. |
| Threshold | Minimum stimulus needed for an impulse to be carried. |
| Peripheral | All the nerves that are outside the central nervous system. |
| Neurons | A neuron is a nerve cell. |
| Reception | The stimulus must be detected. |
| Motor | Carries impulses from CNS to effectors. |
| Sensory | Carries impulses from sense organs to CNS. |
| Refractory | An impulse cant be sent . |
| Integration | Brain decides how to react. |
| Stimulus | Something that causes a response.. |
| Response | When they are stimulated by neurons. |
