Cells

TermDefinition
Nucleus Controls what the cell does.
Cytoplasm Where the chemical reactions happen.
Cell Membrane Holds the cell together and controls what goes in and out.
Mitochondria Turn glucose and oxygen into energy.
Rigid Cell Wall (plant only) Made of cellulose and gives support for the cell.
Vacuole (plant only) Contains cell sap, a weak solution of sugar and salts.
Green Chloroplasts (plant only) Containing chlorophyll for photosynthesis.
