organisms are either unicellular- made of one. ex: bacteria and amoebas multicellular- made of many. ex: plants and animals

Prokaryote small, simple, unicellular organisms with no nucleus or membrane - bound organelles. they have a single, circular chromosome
Eukaryote large complex, cells. they can be multicellular or unicellular. they have a nucleus. membrane-bound organelles, and highly organized chromosomes
