| Heredity | Traits or characteristics that are passed from parent to child |
| Environment | All living and nonliving things around you. |
| Acquired | Interest, hobbies, and abilities that you learned from the people and things around you. |
| Culture | Specific ways of thinking, acting, dressing and speaking shared by a group of people |
| Role | The way you act or behave when you interact with others. |
| Role Models | People who show you how to act or shows you what is expected in certain situations. |
| Personality | The group of traits that make each person unique. |
| Developmental Tasks | Skills or behavior patterns people should accomplish at certain ages of their lives. |
| Adolescence | The stage between childhood and adulthood. |
| Types of Growth | Physical, Intellectual, Social, and Emotional Development. |
| Childhood | The stage between birth to adolescence. |
| Independence | The freedom to decide, act and take care of yourself. |
