What does the term biodiversity mean? An ecosystem with a variety of plants and organisims
What are wetlands? Wetlands are areas that cover shallow water.
What is reforestation? Reforestation is regrowing a forest through planting trees.
What is extinction? The death of all the individuals.
What is bio control? Adding or introducing a species to act as a predator to reduce or control the population of an undesirable species.
What is natural extinction? When species go extinct due to natural events that changed the ecosystem
What is mass extinction? A sudden change in the ecosystem making it unsustainable due to a disastrous event.
How do we make sure nobody in Canada is breaking the over fishing law? We give the a fishing license, and if you don't have it you cannot go fishing.
Why do people kill elephants for their ivory tusks? Is this a form of extinction? Because it is so expensive. Yes.
What is bio-remediation. Using plants, bacteria or fungi to clean the soils and water by collecting and the poisons in their tissues.
