Revise Microbiology and Biotechnology

QuestionAnswer
What is microbiology the study of? Micro biology is the study of micro organisms.
What are the 3 types of micro-organism? Fungi, Bacteria and Viruses.
In the laboratory what do you use to grow micro-organisms? Agar plates.
Are all micro-organisms harmful? No.
What are antibiotics? Are a fungi based treatment for bacterial and fungal infections.
Do antibiotics kill viral infections? No.
How does our body fight viral infections? By raising the body temperate to kill the virus.
What are fungi? Fungi are parasitic microorganisms.
What are decomposers? Decomposers help to breakdown dead plants and animals.
What is meant by biotechnology? Biotechnology is the use of living organisms in the manufacture of useful products.
