| Radiometric Dating | A method of establishing that age of a material |
| Isotope | Atoms of the same element that differ in the number of neutrons contained |
| Mass Number | The total number of protons and neutrons in the nucleus |
| Radioactive Decay | The nuclei release particles or radiant energy, or both until the nuclei become stable |
| Radioactive Isotope | Isotopes that undergo radioactive decay |
| Half-Life | The time is takes for 1/2 of the sample size to decay to a stable form |
| Microsphere | Spherical in shape and are composed of many protein molecules that are organized as a membrane |
| Coacervate | Collection of droplets that are composed of molecules o different types, including lipids, amino acids, and sugars |
