OMM Lesson 2

Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Compound Microsope A microscope with 2 lenses.
Concave Lens A lens with surfaces that curves inwards.
Eyepeice Lens you look through in a microscope.
Field of Veiw The area that is visible when looking through a microscope.
Convex Lens A lens that bulges out.
Diaphragm The piece used to let more or less light on an object in a microscope.
Objective Lens The lens that looks at the object and is on the rotating nosepiece
Total Magnification The Objective lens × Eyepiece = Total Magnification.
