Deoxyribose A 5 carbon sugar that is a constituent of DNA.
Histone (protein) Protein molecule around which DNA is tightly coiled in chromatin.
Hydrogen Bond Bond that links nitrogenous bases.
Nucleic Acid Macromolecule containing hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, and phosphorus.
Nucleotide Monomer of nucleic acids made up of a 5 carbon sugar, a phosphate group, and a nitrogenous base.
Purine Group of compounds in which Adenine and Guanine belong to.
Pyrimidine Group of compounds in which Cytosine and Thymine belong to.
Replication Copying process by which a cell duplicates its DNA.
