what is mechanical digestion? mashing, squeezing, or chewing
what is chemical digestion? the breakdown of food by chemical reactions
what does the pancreas do? creates pancreatic juice that contains acid neutralizing bicarbonates and enzymes
what does the gall bladder do? stores bile
what does the liver do? makes bile, stores nutrients, breaks down toxins in the blood, and makes cholesterol for cell membranes
what do kidneys do? clean and filter the blood
