Human Ear

Pinna Collects sound waves
Tympanum Changes sound waves to vibrations
Cochlea Lil' curly thing with liquid and lil' hairs that changes sound waves into nerve impulses. Usually cause of hearing damage when broken
Auditory Nerve Carries nerve impulses to brain
Outer Ear Gathers sound waves- pinna, ear canal,
Middle Ear Amplifies waves- hammer, anvil, stirrup, tympanum/ear drum
Inner Ear Converts waves to nerve impulses- cochlea, auditory nerve
