Sister Chromatids | Two identical chromosomes make upo a duplicated chromosome |
Centromere | Sister chromatids are held together by this structure |
Mitosis | The nucleus and its content divide |
Cytokinesis | The cytoplasm and its contents divide |
Daughter Cells | Two new cells that result from mitosis and cytokinesis |
Cell Differentiation | The process by which cells become different types of cells. |
Stem Cells | Unspecialized cells that are able to develop into many different cell types. |
Tissues | Groups of similar types of cells that work together to carry out specific tasks. |
Organs | Groups of different tissues working together to perform a particular job. |
Organ Systems | Groups of different organs that work together to complete a series of tasks. |
