What is a punnett square? It is a square that tells you the percentage of a genetic cross.
How are dominant genes expressed? In capital letters such as(FF).
How are recessive genes expressed? In lowercase letters such as(ff).
How does the crossbred baby get its genes? There inherited genes are passed on to the children.
What are the traits of an organism controlled by? genes
What can a punnett square predict? The results of a crossbred.
Who invented the punnett square? Reginald Punnett
What happens when two hybrids crossbred? 75% are dominant and 25% are recessive.
What is an allele? one of two or more alternative forms of a gene
What is a gene? a use of heredity that is transferred from a parent to offspring.
What is a Mendelian inheritance? a punnett square is a visual representation of this.
What are the two different types of punnett square boxes? Phenotype and Genotype
What is it called when a person is all dominant or all recessive? purebred
What is offspring? a persons child
What is a phenotype box? this is a visual of the genotype box.
What is a genotype box? this is a box that determines what the offsprings traits will be.
