What is adaptation? The process a species uses to become better suited over time
What are fossils? shells, traces of animal plants, footprints in rock
What will scarcity of resources in a population result in? Competition
What will advantages lead to? Natural selection in a population
What could natural selection not occur without genetics operating? Within offspring
What will populations living in different areas exhibit? different characteristics
What do scientific names use the Latin language for? to describe the organism
How many science organism are there? 2 names (we have a first and second name)
What do all organisms alive have? 7 level system to help describe their characters
What do organisms share? Characteristics
What's in the 7 level system of classification? Man because we share characteristics with many members of the animal kingdom
