Yellow Journalism Yellow Journalism Was famous newspaper writers going to Cuba and sending back newspapers on what is happening down in Cuba
Theodore Roosevelt Was president and Leader in the War of U.S and Spain
Rough Riders A mixed group of people that collided with the Troops against Spain
Philippines Controlled by Spain and wanted there freedom and there own goverment
Puerto Rico Was also controlled by Spain and didn't want Spain's oppressive government They wanted there own Government
Guam Controlled by Spain and rebelled against the U.S government and wanted there own
Imperialism Policies of powerful countries seeking to control smaller ones
Foreign Policy Action that a nation takes in relation to other nations
Big Stick Demplomacy People where threatening American lives so they had to set rules on what they where allowed to do and not
Panama Canal A built canal by Roosevelt to help them get in and out of somewhere using boats.(ect)
Corribean contries Faced hard times while the U.S was taking over Spain
Theodore Corollary A statement by Theodore Roosevelt that the U.S had the right to intervene in Latin America to preserve Law and Order
