What is the function of the white blood cells? Fight disease/infection
What is the function of platelets? To clot the blood
What is the function of plasma? To transport food, oxygen and waste products and control body temperature
Name the blood vessels that have thick walls and carries blood away from the heart. Arteries
Name the blood vessels that have valves, thin walls and carry blood to the heart. Veins
Name the blood vessels that connect arteries and veins. Capillaries

Name the main blood vessel that carries blood out of the heart all over the body. Aorta
Name the blood vessel that carries blood back to the heart from all over the body. Vena Cava
Name the blood vessel that carries blood from the heart to the lungs to pick up oxygen. Pulmonary Artery
Name the blood vessels that bring oxygen rich blood back to the heart from the lungs. Pulmonary Veins
Name the wall down the centre of the heart. Septum
Which chamber of the heart does blood flow into after the left atrium? Left Ventricle
Where does blood go after leaving the right ventricle? The lungs
