How are parallel veins different from netted veins? Parallel veins run next to one another; netted veins branch out from main veins.
What are three ways to classify leaves? By leaf margin, textures, and vein patterns
What type of stem does a tulip have? soft stem
Why do some flowers wilt when they don't get enough water? In some flowers, stems are held up by water inside their tubes. Without water, there is nothing to support the stem.
How do we classify stems? Woody or soft
How do we classify roots? Taproots or Fibrous roots
How are plants classified? By the different traits of their roots, stems and leaves.
What are veins? A vein is a tube that carries food, water, and nutrients.
What are two kinds of roots? Give examples of plants that have each kind of roots? Tap roots- dandelions Fibrous roots- clover
What kind of veins does a corn leaf have when they run in lines next to each other? parallel veins
