Medical Emergencies

| Heart attack | Men: chest pain and pain that radiates down the shoulder and the arm. Women: nausea, vomiting, back pain, jaw pain and shortness of breath. | A clot blocks the coronary artery | give two baby aspirin, have the person sit down, and call 911 immediately |
| Fainting (syncope) | temporary loss of consciousness | when blood pressure drops suddenly: heat, standing up too fast or emotional distress. | elevate legs and place a cool rag on the victims head. |
| Diabetes: Type 1 | thirst, very high level of urine, increase in appetite but weight loss, fatigue,nausea, vomiting,and blurry vision. | genetics and life choices. | eat healthier and exercise more. |
