The menstrual cycle.

The menstrual cycle This is a series of events that occurs every 28 days in a female if fertilisation has not happened.
DAYS 1-5 Endometrium breaks down and is released through the vagina. A new egg cell is produced.
Days 6-14 The Graffian follicle produces oestrogen. Endometrium thickens.
DAY 14 Ovulation
DAYS 14-28 Corpus luteum develops. Egg will die by day 16 if not fertilised,Corpus luteum degenerates and cycle restarts.
FSH (harmone) produced by pituitary gland.Between days 1 - 5. Stimulates eggs to develop. Stimulates production of Oestrogen.
Oestrogen. Produced by Giraafian follicle. Days 5 - 14. Cause endometrium to thicken. Stimulates the production of LH.
LH Produced by pituitary gland
