| Dispersion | arrangement of a population in its environment. |
| Emigration | movement of individuals away from a population. |
| Immigration | movement of individuals into a population. |
| Population Density | number of organisms per unit of living area. |
| Population Growth Rate | how fast a specific population grows. |
| Age Structure | in any population, the number of individuals in their pre- reproductive, reproductive, and post - reproductive years. |
| Demographic Transition | population change from high birth rates and death rates to low birth rates and death rates. |
| Demography | study of human populations based on size, density, movement, distribution, and birth, and death rates. |
