Prokaryote A prokaryote is a single-celled organism that lacks a membrane-bound nucleus, mitochondria, or any other membrane-bound organelles.
Nucleus Controls the cells function, contains the cells DNA, RNA comes out, contains genetic material. Separated the process of transcription and translation.
Selective Permeability Plasma membrane controls the movement of substances into and out of the cell.
Phospholipid Bilayer Makes up the plasma membrane. Has: -Polar Phosphate heads -Nonpolar fatty acid chains
Transport Protein Provide pathways for substances to enter and leave the cell.
Fluid Mosaic Model The different substances in a plama membrane make this.
