Cells Basic units of living organisms
Compound Light Microscope Uses a series of lenses to magnify objects in steps.
Cell Theory Is made up of three main ideas
Electron Microscope Uses beam of electrons instead of light to magnify structures
Prokaryotes Cells that don't have membrane bound organelles.
Eukaryotes Multicellular organism
Nucleus The central membrane
Plasma Membrane the flexible boundary between the cell and its environment to allow a steady supply of these nutrients to come into the cell no matter what the external conditions are
Selective Permeability A process in which a membrane allows some molecules to pass through while keeping others out
Phospholipid has a glycerol backbone two fatty acid chains and a phosphate group
Fluid Mosaic Model Model for Plasma Membrane
Transport Proteins Move need substance or waste materials through the plasma membrane
