Somatic Cell a body cell
Cell the basic unit of structure and function in living things
Diploid having 2 copies of each chromosome
Gametogenesis the formation of gametes
Cytokinesis the division of cytoplasm, occurring after nuclear division (in both mitosis and meiosis)
Mitosis cell division; results in 2 diploid daughter cells that are identical to the parent cell
