QuestionAnswer
Cell wall Animals don't have one. Plants:made of cellulose;gives strength,structure and rigidity to plant through Turgor Pressure. Protects cell.
Cell Membrane Outside covering. Determines what goes in and out of the cell. Flexible but supports cell.
Vacuole Storage unit in cells that holds water. Large in plants. Small in animals.
Nucleus Control center of a cell. Houses DNA. Controls cell growth.
Mitochodria "Power house of a cell" Produces energy and breaks down glucose.
Cytoplasm Fluid that fills cells. Organelles are suspended in Cytoplasm.
Chloroplast ONLY IN PLANTS! absorbs radiant energy and converts it in to chemical energy (aka glucose). Has a green pigment called Chlorophyll.
