Heredity Heredity is the passing of physical characteristis from parents to offspring.
Trait Characteristic such as stem hight or seed color is called a trait.

Fertillization When the egg and sperm join in the process called ferillzation.
Purebred A purebred organism is the offspring of many generations that have the same trait.
Gene The factors that control a trait.
Alleles Alleles are a difforent form of a gene.
Dominant allele The trait that always shows up in the orginm.
Recessive allele The trait that is always hidden.
Hybrid A hybrid organism that has two diffrent alleles for a trait.
Probility To predict the results of a particular event.
Punett square A chart that shows all the possible combinations of alleles.
Phenotype Visible traits
Genotype Genetic makeup, allele combinations
Homeozygous an orgnism that has two identical alleles.
Heterozygous An orgnism that has two differnt alleles.
codminance Alleles are not dominant or recessive.
Meiosis The event were the number of cromosomes are reduced.
Messenger Copies the coded message from the D.N.A .
Transfer Carries amino acids to the ribosome and adds them to the growing protein
Mutation Mutation is any change in a gene or chromosome.
