Saucepan Pan with 1 long handle, Assorted sizes, comes with a lid

Skillet Also called frying pans, Some have lids, Often have a nonstick finish
Loaf Pan Rectangular shaped with straight sides. Glass, metal or pottery
Casserole Dish Usually oven-proof glass which can also be used in the microwave Variety of shapes and sizes
Cookie Sheet or Baking Sheet Metal- either shiny metal or dark nonstick finish Low or no sides
Dry Measuring Cups Used to measure dry or solid ingredients such as sugar, flour, or peanut butter. Set usually includes: 1/4, 1/3, ½, 1c. Fill correct cup to top, then level with a spatula
Liquid Measuring Cup Measures liquid ingredients: Water, Milk, Oil Can be Plastic or glass- but must be able to see markings for various amounts, Has a pour spout

Dish Drainer Holds dishes after they have been washed and rinsed, Metal or plastic
potholders Protect the counter or table from hot dishes or pans
oven mitts Protect your hands and wrists when handling hot pans or using the oven
apron Protects your clothing when cooking, baking or cleaning the kitchen, To be safe, always tie in back
dish cloth Square cotton or microfiber cloth used to clean dishes or other surfaces. Should be washed daily
dish towel Large cotton or microfiber cloths used to dry dishes or kitchen surfaces. Separate towels should be used to dry dishes and to dry surfaces.
