what goes on in an ecological relations.

QuestionAnswer
what is an ecological relationship? The relationship between organisms in an environment.
What is the relationship between a decomposer and a scavenger? Decomposers break down matter and scavengers eat what is left of the flesh.
what is symbiosis? Any close relationship between species.
What is cellular respiration? Chemical reaction that releases the energy in glucose.
What is the relationship between a producer and an consumer? a producer produces food for the consumer. the consumer may just eat the producer.
what is commensalism? Relationship in which one species benefits and the other neither helped nor harmed.
What is the food chain and how does it help keep a steady population in the world? the food chain characterizes animals by who eats what. it deletes some animals so others can be created.
what is mutualism? A relationship in which both species benefit.
what is parasitism? A relationship i which one organism benefits while the other is harmed.
what is a predator? an animal that eats other consumers.
why do animals compete with one another? they compete for many reasons. one is beacuase they want the same of the opposite gender, or they are copmeteing for food and land.
How does a primary consumer differ from a secondary consumer? producer? the primary consumer is the one that consumers the most.the primary producer produces the most.
What does an energy pyramid show? it shows how energy is used in animals and how it is transferred from animals to animal.
What is the order of a energy pyramid from top to bottom? third consumer, secondary consumer, primary consumer, and producer.
How is all energy created? all energy is created by the sun.
