1. What is a monochromatic color scheme? A color scheme that has hints and shades of only one color.
2. What is an analogous color scheme? A color scheme that uses colors that are next to each other on the color wheel
3. What is an accented neutral color scheme? Any combination of Blacks, Greys, Whites, Browns, & Tans.
4. What color scheme is 2 colors opposite on the color wheel. Complementary
5. How many colors in a split complemetary color scheme? 3 (Y)
6. Name the Primary colors. Red, Blue, Yellow
7. Name the secondary colors. Orange, Violet, Green
8. What is the value of a color? The measurement of brightness/lightness within a color.
9. What is the intensity of a color mean? The measurement of brightness/dullness within a color.
10. What is the hue? A graduation or variety of a color.
11. How do you make a tint? Add white to a pure hue.
12. How do you make a shade? Add black to a pure hue.
13. What are the warm colors? Red, Orange, & Yellow
14. What are the cool colors.? Blue, Green & Violet
15. What are the neutral colors? Black, Grey, White, Brown & Tan
16. What is unique about the primary colors? They cannot be made from other colors.
17. Name 3 tertiary colors. Red-Violet, Blue-Green, Yellow-Orange
18. What is the proper way to name a tertiary color? Intermediate colors.
19. What is another name for a tertiary color? An Intermediate color
20. What is a triadic color scheme? Three colors that are located within equal distance of each other.
