respiration is the process by which cells obtain energy from glucose
fermentation provides energy for the cell without using energy.
cell cycle the regular sequence of growth and division cell undergo

replication exact copy of dna in its nucleus
mitosis is the stage during which cells nucleus divides into two new nuclei
chromosome thread-like chromatin in the nucleus condenses to form double rod structures
cytokinesis final stage; completes the process of division; organelles are distributed into each other of the two new cells .
