Noun A noun is a name of a person, place, thing or idea. eg. I sat next to my FRIEND SOPHIA at LUNCH.
pronoun A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun. I AM going to MY friend’s house after school today
adverbs An adverb describes a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. When my brother is asleep I CAREFULLY put he’s hand in a bowl of hot water.

PREPOSITIONS A preposition is a word placed before a noun or pronoun to give more information about the sentence. I ate a tub of ice cream BY myself UNTIL my mum walked in.
CONJUNCTIONS A conjunction joins words, phrases, or clauses. WHILE I was waiting for the bus, Summer AND I played a game BECAUSE the bus was taking a long time.
INTERJECTIONS An interjection is a word used to express emotion. OH my! I think it’s time to go to sleep it past my bedtime.
