Nutrition | The study of components of food and how they are used by the body to sustain life and health |
Adulteration | a lowering of the quality and safety of a product by adding inferior or toxic ingredients |
Food Analogs | natural or manufactured substances that are used in place of foods or food components |
Cryogenic Liquids | substances that are liquid in form at extremely low temperatures |
Biotechnology | scientists use the tools of modern genetics in the age-old process of improving plants, animals, and microorganisms |
Entry Level Jobs | do not require experience or training |
Entrepreneurs | people who run their own business |
Biodiversity | cultivating a variety of plants and animals |
Sustainable Farming | producing food by natural methods that fit with local needs and conditions |
Finished Food | a food item or meal that is ready to eat |
