| Obligate Anaerobes | Bacteria die in Oxygen Presence e.g Clostridium Tetani |
| Aerotolerant Anaerobes | do not use aerobic metabolism but tolerate oxygen e.g Lactobacilli |
| Microaerophiles | needs oxygen levels of 2-10% e.g Helicobacter Pylori |
| Anaerobes need oxygen Because | They lack Superoxide Dismutase and they lack Catalase / Peroxidase Enzymes |
