Bio Vocab 3.1 - Cell Energy

Photosynthesis Process that converts sunlight energy into glucose (Occurs in the chloroplast)
Chloroplast Green organelle where photosynthesis takes place
Chlorophyll Pigment that absorbs blue & red light from the sun
Glucose Molecule produced during photosynthesis
Mitochondria Organelle where cellular respiration takes place
ATP Chemical energy produced during cellular respiration
Reactants Needed for the reaction to occur (Left side of the equation)
Products Produced by the reaction (Right side of the equation)
Thylakoid Green, pancake-shaped disk inside chloroplast.
Grana (granum) Stack of thylakoids.
Stroma Liquid space inside chloroplast.
