what are capillaries? very narrow blood vessels where oxygen and other materials are exchanged between blood and body tissues
when is blood oxygen rich? After the blood leaves the lungs, before it goes to body cells
when is blood oxygen poor? After the blood leaves body cells, before it goes into the lungs
What types of cells make up blood and what do they do? Red blood cells transport oxygen, white blod cells are part of the immune system, and platelets help blood clot
