Ecology Study of interactions among living things, and between living lings and there surroundings.
Community A group of different spices that live together in one area.
Ecosystem includes all of the organisms as well as ther climates, soil, water, rocks and other non-living things in a given area.
Bioname A major reginal or global community of organisms.
Biotic Living things, such as plants,animals,fungi, and bacteria.
Abiotic Nonliving things seen as moisture, temp, cold, wind, sunlight and soil.
Biodiversity Assortment, or variety, of living things in an ecosystem.
Consumer Organisms that get there energy by eating other living organisms.
heteroph Another name for a comsumer.
Chemosythesis The prosses by which an organism form.
Herbivore Organisms that eat other plants.
Carnivore Organisms that eat both plants and animals.
Decomposer Detrivores that break down organic matter into simpler coumpounds.
Specialist A consumer that primarily eats other specific organisms.
Generalist Organisms that get there energy by eating other living things.
Trophic level Levels of nourshment in a food chain.
Food Wed A model that shows the complex network of feeding relationships and the flow of energy.
Hydrolic Cycle Also known as the water cycle.
Nitrogen Fixation Process of converting nitrogen gas.
Bio mass Measure of the total dry mass of organisms in a given area.
Energy Pryamid Illustrates the energy flow between trophia levels in a ecosystem.
