Tertiary Structure Establishes when polypeptides become further linked by various typed of cross-connection. include bridges between sulphur atoms and morehydrogen bonding.final connections determine the proteins final shape and eneble protein to havespecific function
Fibrous proteins several spiral-shaped polypeptide molecules become linked together. rope like structure.
Examples of Fibrous protein Elastin (strong elastic- wall of large arteries - flexible support) Collagen ( strong inelastic - bone (rigid support) tendon and ligament (attachment)) Keratin (strong inelastic - hair - protection. Actin myosin (contractile - muscle - movement)
