| Articulator | Replicate the movement of the jaw/joints. Used with models to study malocclusion |
| Spacer and stopper | Thin liner/divider between maxillary and mandibular arches for custom fit. Can be wax, foil or wax paper |
| Undercut | Recessed areas in the model that make it impossible to seat or remove custom tray properly; caused by bubbles in plaster, cavities or shape of arch or dentition |
| Final Impression | Silicone impression that is sent to the lab |
| Custom tray | Molded and fit specific for one person |
| Die | Positive replica of the prepared tooth made from stone/plaster |
