| Independent Assortment | Alleles for one trait sort independent of another trait. |
| Dominant | The allele that will always be expressed. |

| Homozygous | Having 2 copies of one allele type. |
| Phenotype | Physical appearance of an individual. |
| Allele | A variation of a gene. |
| Monohybrid Cross | A cross that focuses on a single trait. |
| Antibody | Molecule made by the body to identify and bind to antigens. |
| Punnett Square | A table used to predict ratios of a trait based on the parent's genotypes. |
| Antigen | Potentially harmful substance that has entered your body, triggering an immune response. |
| Genotype | The DNA code carried by an individual. |
| Segregation | An individual gets only one allele for each trait from each parent. |
| Hybrid | An organism which is heterozygous for a given trait. |
| F1 Generation | First offspring of P cross. |
| F2 Generation | Offspring of F1 cross. |
| Recessive | The allele that will always be masked. |
| Genetics | Science of heredity. |
| Dihybrid Cross | A cross that focuses on two traits. |
