Anti Viral Destroying or inhibiting the growth and reproduction of viruses
Autotroph An organism that makes its own food
Heterotroph An organism that cannot make its own food
Asexual Reproduction The reproduction process that involves only one parent and produces offspring that are identical to the parent
Binary Fission A form of asexual reproduction in which one cell divides to form two identical cells
Conjugation The process in which a unicellular organism transfers some of its genetic material to another unicellular organism
Decomposers An organism that breaks down large chemicals from dead organisms into small chemicals and return important material to the soil and water
Multicellular A type of organism that is made up of many cells
Unicellular A type of organism that is made up of a single cell
Prokaryote An organism whose cells lack a nucleus
Eukaryote An organism with cells that contain nuclei and other cell structure
Stimulus A change in an organism's surroundings that causes the organism to react
Response An action or change in behavior that occurs as a result of a stimulus
