Words And Defintions

Nucleotide Adenine and Thymine Guanine and Cytocine.
Gene A specific sequence of nucleotides.
Chromosome A supercoiled structure made of DNA nd associated proteins o which genes are located.
DNA DeoxyriboNucleic Acid.
Supercoiled A piece of DNA that is like a phone plug.
Nucleus The control room for the cell.
Sequence A pattern or something that goes in order.
Genetic Information you got from your parents.
Template A molecule that acts like a pattern fro a sequence
Heredity Characteristics from your parents to you.
Helix A longer spiral chain of atoms in proteins.
Replication To make more of something.
Mutation Changes in DNA.
Ribosomes A particle of RNA.
Amino Acids An organic compound with Carboxylic.
Peptide Chains Two or more amino acids put together by a chain.
Variation Makes everything work in a cell.
mRNA Messenger RNA
tRNA Transfer RNA
Mitosis A process with four parts: Prophase Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase.
